Frequently asked questions

  • What kinds of products do you use?

The injected material is a synthetic aquareactive, water-expanding type of monocomposite resin which expands from 700 to 1300% of its initial volume. The viscosity and reaction time of the products vary according to the type of crack to be injected.

  • What guarantee do you offer?

We guarantee our product against water infiltration for 10 years without conditions.

  • How is the product injected?

We drill on each side of the crack, into which we install our injectors. The product is injected with the aide of a hydraulic pump.

  • Is your product toxic?

No, our product contains no solvent, is odorless and environment friendly.

  • Can you guarantee that there will be no leaks elsewhere?

Our guarantee covers only the cracks that we treat

  • When is the best time to do the job?

Regardless of the temperature, we always obtain the same results.

  • The cracks doesn't leak? Why fix it?

It is important to inject cracks to maintain the buildings stuctural force.

  • How long does it take to do the job?

It takes on average of 1 hour per crack.

  • My brother-in-law did it himself!

To do this kind of work you must possess the necessary knowledge and equipment : what viscosity must the product have? What is its structural force? What reaction time must it have? In most cases the lack of knowledge provides mediocre results.

  • Must the cracks be dry?

When a crack is dry we must inject water since the products we use are aquareactive.

  • I can't see a crack, but there is water!

It can happen sometimes that water will infiltrate through porous concrete or a foundation.

  • I'll put tar on the exterior, it will solve the problem?

The problem with tar is that at low temperature it loses its elasticity (flexibility); and then needs to be redone the following year.

  • I've been told that there is nothing better than epoxy!

Most epoxies are too rigid and do not provide the flexibility to prevent other cracks from occuring.

  • I'll go get a "do-it-yourself kit".

Many renovation and rental centres have rid themselves of there famous kits due to the large number of complaints from clients.

  • The only reason i called is to get the advice of an expert. In reality, these fissures don't bother me much?

Negligence leads to structural problems, increases the amount of humidity, and attracts vermin.

  • What is the cause of cracks?

Long periods of drought and harsh temperature changes are the principal causes.
